I decided to paint them black and I'm glad I did. I cleaned them good with T.S.P., an all purpose cleaner. Than sanded, primed with Glidden Gripper, sanded again and cleaned any dust off. Next, I painted them with three coats of Behr satin #7300 black paint. Oh, I added a little bit of floetrol in with the paint to help not have the look of brush strokes. I am in love with the end product. The cost ran me about $150 dollars total for everything.
